Hello, One of two cedar more than a century of our house is dying see death. We are concerned whether a condition that can be transmitted on neighboring healthy. Could you please advise us on how to proceed. Attached is a summary of the facts: The photos are named by date, everything was green in 2010, until February 2012. Within one month all went very fast, the photo taken on 7/03 shows the state of the summit, where only a few tufts of needles remain green. Today everything is dry as you can see on the 12/04/12. On returning I saw a piece of cedar branch still in good health begins to fade. Given the rate of decline of the first tree thank you kindly do your best to advise me on what to do to save the second shaft. Should we cut down the diseased tree because it is very close to the healthy and it seems inevitable anyway? The big change in the environment of the trees was the installation of mains drainage in August 2010 that the trench is increased to 50 cm from the trunk of the tree sick. Unfortunately this work was done before we aménagions, so I have been able to run smoothly for the tree roots. Thanking you Regards Luke http://www.lesarbres.fr/question/upload/12avril2012.jpg http://www.lesarbres.fr/question/upload/7mars12.jpg http://www.lesarbres.fr/question /upload/6mars2012.jpg http://www.lesarbres.fr/question/upload/03fev2012.jpg http://www.lesarbres.fr/question/upload/02mai2010.jpg
